They look a bit like spaghetti, but are in fact, made out of corn cobs and peach pits. These materials dry completely, so they are cleaner and last longer.
The best part - they really don't require soap! They scour on their own, and can be used with a small amount of detergent for really tough jobs.Wish I had thought of that.
